About 3017 – Mustardseed
🐾🧡 MEET MUSTARDSEED 🧡🐾
Hello! Are all those other cats just not cutting the mustard? Dijon-know that I’m looking for a home to call my own? Perhaps I could be the perfect condiment to complete your sandwich of life!
My nature:
I am a very shy boy and you must admit that my eyes look a little sad, but since Perth Rescue Angels rescued me from a colony outside in the wind and rain, I have mustard my courage and am starting to learn just how good these humans are! I’m still a little unsure of people, but I’m slowly starting to understand that my foster mum isn’t here to hurt me – she’s actually here to give me lots of tasty foods!
At the moment I just like to watch you go about your business (just in case you reach for those cat treats!) but every day I’m becoming more and more confident and get just a little bit closer to my foster mum.
When I go to my new home, I might hide for a while. I will need lots of patience and love from my new family so that I can get used to you in my own time.
I’ve finished my life on the streets, so I’m looking to be an inside cat – even better would be somewhere with a cat run or a secured yard. When I fall in love with you, I definitely don’t want you to lose me!
Companions (children, cats, and dogs):
Because I’m shy and still unsure of living inside, I would prefer a house without small children and lots of foot-traffic. Big noises and lots of movement scare me!
As a colony cat and still being quite young (I’m just a teenager!), I am happy around other friendly cats. My foster family has a small dog and I don’t seem too bothered by her, so I might be able to live with a calm doggo friend who knows how to respect my personal space. As with every multi-pet household, a slow introduction is important! My foster mum can help my new family with this.
Likes/Dislikes:
I’m very happy that I don’t have to compete with the rest of the colony cats anymore, but because I was never sure when or how much my next meal was going to be, I do tend to scoff food down, so you’ll need to be careful about over-feeding me. I’m pretty good at tricking humans into thinking I’m still hungry, especially with those perpetually sad eyes of mine!
I don’t really know what toys are yet because I never had any in my old life, but a good scratching post is what I’d like in my new home. I’d also like lots of high spots and hidey-holes so that I can watch you and still feel safe.
If you think you could be my forever family, then I’m keen as mustard to meet you!
