About Queenie ~ 2yo cat (pending adoption 29/5/20)
Hi, my name is Sharron and I am the foster carer for Queenie.
Queenie came into my care after I found out she had been at a local pound since July last year. Queenie is under two years old and 9 months is way too long for a young cat to be at a pound.
Queenie and her sister, Hearts, where found dumped in a bird cage with two kittens and taken to the pound. The kittens and Hearts had found their forever homes and Queenie was left at the pound.
Queenie was being well cared for at the pound and bonded with her pound carer. She would rush out of her bed every morning for a pat and a tummy rub. You see, Queenie is quite affectionate once you gain her trust.
Queenie has been with me now for three weeks and was desexed last week. The first two weeks she hid in her box but was not opposed to a pat and some attention, always purring. She has now made herself very comfortable in my bedroom and although she stays under the bed most of the day, of a night, loves nothing more than jumping up on the bed for a snuggle. She sleeps on the bed with me and is so content and happy.
Queenie just needs a little time, understanding and patience. I think in the right home she will blossom. I feel Queenie would really suit a quiet home. I think a single lady looking for a cat for company would be perfect and I do think once she has settled she will be confident enough to come out from hiding through the day.
She has been around other cats and there have been no issues but she doesn’t really seek them out. Queenie is a cat who hard not to love, knowing her story and to see she still can trust shows just how special this young cat is.
I am appealing to all the cat lovers out there that want to save a rescue cat and make a difference in their lives. Queenie deserves a second chance and for someone to love her for her!
Queenie is available for adoption to an indoor-only home in the coming weeks and her adoption fee is $180. Queenie is in foster care in Merewether Heights, NSW. She is vaccinated, microchipped and desexed which is all included in the adoption fee.

(1) The first step is to fill in our online Adoption Questionnaire:
https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt
If there is a phone number listed in the dog's profile then you can also phone for more information.
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption. More details of our Adoption Procedure on our website: https://tinyurl.com/adoptproc
