About Diesel
All About Me and My Unique Personality:
Wow. You would not believe me now. I have come a long way since arriving at Morisset. I have a bundle of energy and will play fetch. I sometimes bring the toy back, but if I know there is a treat involved, I forget the toy and race back for the treat - then I miss out! I am still learning!! I am not suitable for young children, but I love teenagers. I can get excited, bound around and have learnt this is not always appropriate. Did I mention I love people - all people. I am happy to meet everyone.
My Ideal Home:
I would love to be part of the family, allowed inside and out. I do accept being left alone for short periods, but would prefer that does not happen too often. A Kong with treats inside does help keep me amused. I need to go to a home with experienced dog owners who understand I am still a silly puppy and don't mean to jump up on you. Someone willing to teach me a few manners would be ideal as I am eager to learn.
What is Known About My Background:
Diesel arrived in care as a puppy who was scared of the world. He has now settled really nicely but can still be fearful of new surroundings and experiences as he has had limited exposure to family life. He has come a long way but needs a family or person willing to give him the time to trust his new surroundings and show you what a truely loyal and happy fellow he can be.
How Do I Interact with Kids, Dogs, Cats and Other Pets:
I am learning to interact with some dogs, and love it when my special Rottie friend comes to play each week. I haven't been tested with cats but would probably initially be frightened if I did meet one so a very slow supervised introduction to a cat that was very experienced with dogs might be ok. I would be fine with teenagers who don't mind a bit of rough and tumble who could also be firm if I jump up and become too mouthy.
