About Muppet
Hi there, I'm Muppet! I might be a big guy, but that doesn't stop me from having the strongest fashion game around - I'm often seen strutting around in my chic leopard print and my cool ear-do! (One ear up, one ear down is this season's look, in case you were wondering!)
I'm living it up in foster care where I'm learning all about the good life. I've been meeting some other dogs too and I've even made some doggie friends at the park!
I don't need a lot of room, in fact I'd be quite happy living in an apartment - all I ask is a nice comfy bed, some humans who can give me lots of love and pats whenever I ask for them, and of course lots of my favourite treats!
A note from Muppet's foster family
Muppet likes: quiet places, pats, running up the hallway in the mornings, sleeping, running with other dogs, walks, his own space at night, car rides, running, sardines + bbq chicken, treats in his kong
Dislikes: Loud noises and trucks, smothering him at night, vegetables!
His routine is a morning walk, breakfast, many snoozes, dinner followed by snacks and treats in his kong and other toys. He chills with us in the loungeroom in the evenings and then takes himself to bed in his room.
Muppet can be a bit frightened of men at first, but does warm up once he gets to know them. He just needs them to respect his space and let him come to them.
Muppet enjoys going for walks and running in enclosed fields. He does well with the dogs he meets on walks. He is learning a few commands including "wait", "okay" and "come".
If you think you'd be interested in meeting me, fill out an application form and the volunteers at Greyhound Rescue will get on the case. Our matchmakers go to greyt lengths to match each hound with the right family to make sure everyone's happy, and you'll become part of a wonderful rescue community with lots of support along the way. Adoption details
All of Greyhound Rescue's adoption and foster placements are on a case-by-case basis. We go to great lengths to match each dog with their new family to make sure that both dog and family are happy. We offer post-adoption support to our rescue community so that each adoptive family and hound are cared for.
We will send you an application form to complete and return. Then we will arrange a house check. It is important that the right hound goes to the right home! We can arrange for you to meet the dog/s and they can meet your family and/or other pets. Our hounds go “on trial” with your family for a minimum of 2 weeks.
Greyhound Rescue's adoption fee is $420. All our hounds are desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, flea and worm treated, and heartworm tested and treated. The adoption fee also includes our New Adopter Kit - collar, leash, muzzle and loads of other goodies to help you get your new hound settled into the family.
