About Cruize
PLEASE NOTE: Due to COVID-19 and travel being restricted, we are only allowing our dogs be adopted in NSW or ACT.
Cruize is a four year old German Shepherd who is now looking for a new home where his owner will commit to this young energetic dogs’ needs.
Cruize is a strong minded young shepherd who will test your endurance. Think of an adolescent child testing you daily with what they want to do, regardless of your directions.
Cruize is a gorgeous boy one moment obeying every request and then he sees a need to break away and do his own will, either chasing the visiting native birds or jumping up to give you his bear hugs.
He is at that difficult growing age where our shepherds keep testing the waters. If you know your shepherds then you know this stage of development and the male dogs tend to take that little bit longer to mature and for the “light bulb” to switch on.
Cruise knows his basic commands and has received lead training. He is fully house trained and has shared his foster home with fellow shepherds.
Cruize is an intelligent dog that will push the boundaries, but if you commit to a structured routine for Cruize with plenty of mind games and stimulation he will become a wonderful “chilled” dog.
Cruize is voice responsive and is a bit of a goof ball and he does love his cuddles.
Cruize needs to be an only dog or a friend for a calm large breed female only. We would undertake this meeting.
Cruize is not suitable to go to a home with cats or pocket pets as he does have an interest and will herd.
Due to his size and young boisterous age Cruize is not suitable for a home with young children.
If you think you can take on the challenge with Cruize and give him a new home please contact us by selecting "Enquire about this Pet".
Medical notes
Cruize is microchipped, vaccinated and desexed.
Adoption details
We have an Adoptions Manager who screens all prospective candidates as to their suitability to adopt a German Shepherd Dog.
We try to contact every one by phone but if that isn't successful we will email our application form to you, which needs to be completed and returned, or you can call us back and we can chat and complete for you. We will also ask you to provide photos of your yard and fencing to enable us to see where the dog will be kept and that they have areas of shade and shelter.
All our dogs are ready to go to their new home, so when you enquire about a dog you must be in a position to take them into your home. We are unable to hold a dog while you fix your fences or go on holiday, etc.
The successful candidate who adopts one of our dogs is provided with an information kit, ongoing support, training and advice on all aspects of feeding, training and general assistance to ensure both the new owner and our rescued dog settle into their home.
