About Buster
Hello! I’m Buster, and I’m looking for my forever home!
I am a clever boy who is very eager to please, and I have come such a long way in my time at my foster home! I had a bit of a rough start to life, so when I finally got to settle into a real home I was a little afraid of the world and wanted to be right next to my humans all the time… but now after lots of love and structure I’m so much more happy and confident!
My foster parents tell me that I am a very quick learner (probably cause I love training treats so much)! I already know how to sit, down, stay, leave it, and will stay on my bed when I come inside. I walk pretty well on a lead even know to “stay out of the kitchen” when I’m told its time for the humans to cook! Extra bonus is that I am a very light shedder, so even though I’ve got a scruffy coat, it won’t end up all over your couch!
I really like to go on adventures with my foster parents to the creek or to the beach – I love to play in water and have lots of sniffs around the big wide world. I also love to ride in the car! I sit happily in the back seat, and stick my whiskers out the window before lying down.
As long as I have a good exercise in the morning, I am a big chill boy and am happy to relax outside or on my bed while you work around the house. I can even look after myself for a few hours at home alone as long as you leave me snacks and something fun to do while you’re gone!
I love other doggies, but sometimes get a little over-excited with new friends… all I want to do is play! I’m working hard in my training to learn all about proper play. Although I’ve been an only-dog at my foster home, what I would love most of all is a home with a calm and well-trained big bro or sis to play with and to help show me the ropes! (Best if they are a large breed like me).
I still have lots of learning left to do, so I need a home where I will get lots of training and where there are clear boundaries… structure really helps me to feel safe and to know I’m being a “good boy”.
I am such a loving and loyal boy, I love to please my family and curl up for snuggles at the end of the day – I just can’t wait until I get to find my forever home!
The perfect home for me would be one where I were I will get lots of regular training and exercise, where I can sleep inside, and where I will have another dog to play with or my owner will be home more often than not!
I’m such a good boy, so if you are looking for a dog like me, please get in touch! I’m ready to go and cannot wait to meet my new family!
*****SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS*******
Buster is used to a home with other larger dogs to play with during the day and as such has a bit of separation anxiety when left alone. He would be best suited to a home with either:
a) another larger dog to play rough and wrestle with or
b) a family who is home more often than not and able to provide structured training to help him with his impulse control and separation anxiety.
