About Savanna
Hi, my name is Savanna. I’m a 9 year old Mini Foxie x
My foster mum says I'm her little Shadow
It took me a little while to relax and be comfortable to snuggle with my foster mum (but once i was comfortable and happy) I am a huge snuggle bunny.
Savanna came into care not comfortable around dogs (especially any size bigger then her) - while she is with another small breed dog, he is not interested in what she does so they are both content to be together - however ideally we would like a home for Savanna with no other dogs.
Savanna once she becomes comfortable is great with kids (she is nervous around them at the start).
Savanna is looking for a home where she will live inside with access to the outside and will sleep inside (normally on your bed).
Savanna would love to live with a retired couple / person or someone who works from home (not just thru the CONVID-19 period) - so she knows her humans are near but she can then go off and sleep or keep them company while they do their thing.
Savanna has a few likes (Food – carrot, zucchini, sweet potato, cheese are all treats she loves), she loves having a bone or something to chew, Loves an ear rub, and when comfortable and she's in a playful mood she likes zooming around the yard and you pounce to her when she stops so you can 'set her off' again.
Savanna also loves going in the car for trips, travels very well.
Medical notes
Savanna is currently on Phenomav for seizures and epilepsy - Vet has advised it's not epilepsy but the treatment is the same. We don't know the cause of the fits, and were unwilling to put her through MRI and CT scans for possibly no benefit.
Savanna has not had a seizure while in care.
Adoption details
Paw Prints Canine Rescue is a non for profit dog rescue located in Southeast Queensland.
All our dogs leave our care with full vet work (up-to-date vaccinated, microchipped, desexed, heart worm and intestinal wormed and flea treated).
Please note - They will not leave for their new homes until they are 12 weeks of age and have been desexed, micro-chipped and vaccinated up to date.
Please note - we are not a pound or have kennels - all our dogs stay in foster carers homes and therefore dogs are not able to be simply viewed - only approved applicants will meet the dogs.

Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
If applying to adopt one of our furbabies over the age of 6 months we recommend that you bring to the meet and greet any of your furbabies to see how they interact.
Our adoption fee must be cleared in our bank account before any animal is available for pick up. Please note we bank with ANZ - any other bank may take 48 hours to process the monies.
Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 2 week trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $100) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.
Please also note while this can be a very exciting time for everyone, it can also be an overwhelming time for dogs and we ask that you do try and allow your new family member to settle in their new home and adjust
INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption
