About Everest
Hi, my name is Everest but you can call me Evie. I am a 2 year old black and tan female kelpie whose only dream is to find a home filled with love and adoration. I have so much love to give but I need your help to continue to build my confidence and trust, so that I can truly shine, and fully express my love for humans and other dogs without fear.
You see, for a long time I didn’t know what true love was, but with the help from my foster carers and foster doggy siblings I am slowly learning. I love exploring and sniffing out all the wonderful smells of the world. Foster Mum might say I’ve been known to roll in goat poop here and there but I will probably deny it and flutter my puppy dog eyes. I still get scared but I’m making progress in leaps and bounds. I need slow introductions to other dogs, just until I get to know them and then its playtime! My foster brothers have already showed me just how fun zoomies can be.
I love riding in the car soooo much! Shotgun is the best! If you like road-tripping I’m your gal. My only question is, where are we going? Actually, I don’t even mind, it’s not about the destination it’s about the journey.
Foster Mum has been teaching me something she calls ‘The Good Life’. The Good Life involves daily walks and adventures, supervising with yard jobs, working on my obedience with tasty treats, building my confidence, being tucked in at night time, oodles of cuddles and kisses, car rides, movie nights by the fire, lots of patience, kindness and importantly endless love. The Good Life is my kind of style and I couldn’t possibly settle for less. I’m most excited to continue the good life with my forever family.
To round it up, get it, round it up because I’m a Kelpie, anyway, I’m looking for my snuggle buddy, road trip pal, my best friend who will bring the best out in me, support me in my learning all the while holding my paw whilst I continue my journey of self-discovery. Ultimately someone to show me the Good Life.
I’ll be dreaming of you. Until we meet….
Evie xx
Adoption details
To apply to adopt a dog from Dogs4Jobs, you must firstly complete our adoptions application form in full at http://dogs4jobs.com.au/adoption-form/.
You can also write out your answers and email them to dogs@dogs4jobs.com.au
*Please note, due to the high volume of applications received, we may not respond to your enquiry if you do not complete the application form in full.
We will then request to complete a yard check, or for you to send in photos of your yard showing the fencing, space, shelter and any hazards etc, to confirm it is safe and secure, as well as adequate space for a working breed dog.
Following this, we will then put you in touch with the dog/s foster carer/s that you are interested in, to chat further over the phone, about whether the dog is a good fit for your family, and vice versa. We are searching for the perfect match for each dog and their needs. A meet and greet can be arranged if both parties wish to proceed, and we also offer interstate adoption on all of our dogs.
***Please note - due to COVID19, Interstate adoptions have been suspended except for those between NSW and VIC, that do not cause extra unnecessary movement or socialisation of people. Meet & greets will not proceed as normal, and we have implemented protocols for hand over of dogs being adopted locally, to ensure the safety and protection of our adopters and our volunteers. We appreciate your understanding and working with us through this difficult time.
