About Cathal
Céad míle fáilte, I'm Cathal (pronounced ka+hal)
My name has Gaelic origins, meaning Battle/Ruler. So basically I am the king of kings, the bravest of the brave and the most feared and skilled warrior in all of the land.
In all honesty I came to BARC on St Patricks day and I was so very scared, so they gave me a big and brave name to help me feel a bit better.
It worked, in my time here I have come out of my shell and I just love showering all my love and affection onto anyone who stops to say hello to me.
I am a sweet little lad who just wants a home to call his own. I don't want for much, just a comfy place to lounge, some food to eat and someone to tell me they love me.
I deserve it, I truly do.
Tá mo chroí istigh ionat, Cathal xo

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
