About Toby
Toby is a happy, social creature who needs an active household to keep him engaged. Although he’s not so keen on long cuddles, he does love a good smooch and to receive pats from absolutely anyone. Toby was originally surrendered because he was reportedly ‘attacking’ his owners. However, try as we might, we can’t trigger this supposedly ‘aggressive’ behavior! He is REALLY friendly, and the worst you can get out of him is grumpy noises and a gentle, warning grab from his teeth. Our suspicion is that Toby was just bored, so he tried playing with the humans, but more roughly than they could tolerate.
At first, when playing with kittens in his foster home, his play style was too rough for them. Over a three-week period however, he successfully learned how to tone down his physicality so that they could happily wrestle together. They *love* playing together now! He has a natural aptitude for learning and adapting, and we find him a joy to work with and to do life with.
Toby will need a home where there is a friendly, desexed cat that will want to play with him (keep in mind that he is a big cat!). He doesn’t mind the company of safe dogs and may even make friends with them. This boy LOVES to be around humans, following the action around the house so that he can watch and get attention while he’s at it! He is a vocal boy, but quietly so and will drop a passing comment as he strolls past you, just so that you know what his opinion is. Remember: this puss will want to be a part of a busy home to keep his boredom at bay!
Toby is litter trained. He will need to be an indoor only cat so that he stays safe from traffic, dogs, and people who think he’s too handsome to leave behind.
He will require regular brushing to keep his coat knot free and in good condition.
Adoption details
If you think one of our animals would be a good match for your home please email us and we will be in touch shortly after. We all work fulltime, have families and other commitments so your patience is appreciated.
We do require any other dogs in your home meeting our foster animal before they head home with you. This enables us to assess their compatibility and helps prevent them being returned and creating more confusion/insecurities for the foster animal.
All our animals are available for a two week trial with full refund. They are also covered by a lifetime return policy. If you ever find yourself unable to care for or keep your pet please contact us and they will come back into our care, this is a condition of our Adoptions.
