Hi, my name is Maple. Lovely to meet you! As you may have guessed I am on the hunt for a family. I'll tell you a little about myself and then if I am a good fit you can arrange a meet with my rescue! So here goes!
Since coming into care I have been a very easy to train, friendly girl. I sleep sometimes in a crate inside, or sometimes outside at night - I'm not fussed. Due to my carers working full time, I am alone for around 5 to 10 hrs a day with my fur siblings- a medium dog and two small dogs. I live on a property with 6ft fencing and so far I show no desire to escape. There are small humans here, and I absolutely love them, as well as the adults! I am very gentle and love to be picked up and get my belly rubbed. I am great on car rides I just fall asleep in my crate! I LOVE to wrestle and chase, play tug-a-war, oh and chew toys of course! I also love to splash in my clam shell pool. Commands I know include sit, shake, drop, come, and roll over. I have no reported fears thus far and am really well behaved at the vet!

My litter and I were surrendered to OTC so that we could have bright futures. My mum was a beautiful mastiff x, and my dad a cattle x. Being a mix we aren't exactly sure how big I will grow, but we think medium to large. Mum is mid thigh height on adult humans, but as everyone knows, breed doesn't really matter. All you need to know about me, is that I am very loyal, loving, energetic and intelligent. My mum is one of the most gentle, quiet girls the team has ever met! OTC has since paid for her to be desexed, so that there will be no more 'accidental' litters.
My carers have put a lot of effort into raising me to be a gentle and happy girl, and my eagerness to please makes us the perfect team. They have no doubt I will fit beautifully into any home who can offer me the following!
- 4 outings per week for exercise and stimulation - I have medium energy levels, so once I am fully vaccinated, I would benefit from walks, runs or park trips to sniff, roll, run and play!
- decent fencing to keep me safe
- adequate outdoor shelter and shade
- sleeping inside at night (I am currently crate training) or on an undercover area
- ongoing training to ensure I blossom into a balanced, happy dog with boundaries and control
- either another dog at home for company, or, weekly+ socialisation with other dogs to ensure my great social skills are maintained
- all the snuggles and treats in the world!
So what do you think, could we be a match? Apply for me now; cuties like me don't last long!

Once you are ready to adopt, please complete the OTC Adoption Application questionnaire below. This is not a contract or agreement of any kind, just an expression of interest in the animal. We will not authorise meets unless this has been completed and only approved applicants may meet the animal. Once you are approved and have submitted all relevant information, we will organise for you to meet the pet at your home, or in a public place. If you have other pets they must be at the meet. You may be required to travel to the pet; we infrequently have admins available to drive extensive distance and it also says a lot if someone is able yet unwilling to come to the animal they have applied for. If for example you cannot drive, feel free to talk with us about possibility of travel to you.
At the meet if you and the pet get along you have the option of either taking the pet on the spot (in exchange for signed contract and the full adoption fee paid upfront) or placing the pet on hold for up to 2 days with a $100 non-refundable holding deposit. This deposit is then taken off the original adoption fee should you proceed with the adoption. Should you place a hold, we will not proceed other applicants until you have removed your hold or adopted the animal.
*PLEASE NOTE we do not hold pets without a non-refundable holding deposit of $100. If you are unwilling to put a deposit on the pet, we will continue to advertise and speak with other potential adopters, so you may miss out. We have had to make the deposit is non refundable to avoid time-wasters. The $100 holding deposit is then subtracted from the outstanding adoption fee, which is to be paid at collection of the pet. Eg if full adoption fee is $450, and you place a $100 holding fee on the animal- the day you collect the pet you will sign an adoption contract and pay the remaining $350 fee of which $75 is non-refundable.
All animals are adopted out with vaccinations up to date; if for example you are adopting a young animal it may not have had a full protocol yet due to age- so any vaccinations due from date of adoption are the ethical and financial responsibility of the adopter. During the trial period, should the pet become ill, you must notify OTC, and present it to the OTC-approved vet clinic we direct you to in your area. OTC will cover any treatment needed at our authorised clinics.
So. Ready to roll? Then fill out the attached short form, and we will be in contact to successful applicants asap. Feel free to follow us up via Facebook page inbox. (www.facebook.com/offthechaink9)
