About Pixie
Hi my name is Pixie I am a 12 yr old Chihuahua, I am a very sweet and quiet girl who gets on with everyone I met, be that animal or human, my foster carers tell me I don’t have a bad bone in my body but I really don’t like people looking in my mouth or taking medication orally and I will try to have a nip, so please leave that for the vets, but I will take my medication on my food, I love my food.
My foster mum and day said that I am also mostly housetrained, but I have had some accidents when I have been left at home alone for a bit to long, so I will probably need some time to settle into a new home and I really won’t mean to do it, but sometimes a girl just has to go. I really do not like stairs so I need a lowest home please. I will need a very secure yard as I am a little girl with quite long legs for a Chihuahua they tell me.
If you open the front door watch out I don’t try to sneak through, my foster mum and dad said I might try to get out, but I am pretty obedient most of the time. I love my walks and I also love sleeping. I am not interested in playing with toys at all, but I do a little dance when I am excited, you can see the video on here of what I do and I will also play chase with you. I am looking for my retirement home, I am ok with children but really I think I am to mature of age now to have to deal with little ones anymore. So a If you think you are the home I have been looking for, read my medical notes first then send an enquiry in or fill out an expression of interest further down the page so that you can maybe meet me.
Chihuahua Rescue QLD is not a first in rescue also, they will go through all my applications and pick the best fit for me and my adopter. Hope to meet you soon. Pixie x
Medical notes
Pixie has a Grade 2 heart murmur and has had chest x-rays done whilst in our care. The murmur is not significant enough to require heart medication at this point. We would recommend 6 monthly vet check ups to keep an eye on her heart health.
She has also had all her dental work done, including a scale and polish and 12 extractions.
Otherwise she is in good health and is up to date with vaccinations as well as being microchipped, heart worm tested, flea, tick, intestinal and on heart worm prevention.
