About Milo
My name is Milo, and I am a 10 month old German Shepherd. I came into rescue as my mum is allergic to me.
I am staying with my foster parents and their three German Shepherds. I am shy and timid at times but I am slowly coming out of my shell. Once I get to know you I will give you lots of hugs and kisses.
I was born with a club right foot and I will often stand with my leg up off the ground, it’s just the way I stand, but I can still run around as normal. So I hope you don’t hold this against me.
My foster mum says I come alive just when she wants to settle down to watch TV, I am all over you, but I will settle down after about 15 minutes.
I am also house trained and once I’m asleep I hardly move, but I haven't been in a crate.
I am social with other dogs but have not been tested with cats or pocket pets, and due to my size I am better in house with older dog savvy children.
I will need a committed owner who will give me consistency, firm boundaries and plenty of stimulation and playtime.
Intelligence, loyalty, love and companionship is what I will give you. I will require daily walks and games and playtime is a must.
Please note: If you enquiring from interstate, you must be in a position to drive with your whole family to Heathcote to meet Milo.
If you think you can give Milo a new home, please contact us by selecting the orange button "Enquire about this Pet".
Medical notes
Milo is microchipped, vaccinated and desexed. He has a slight clubbed foot but that has been x-rayed and checked by our vets and he still has full use of the foot.
Adoption details
We have an Adoptions Manager who screens all prospective candidates as to their suitability to adopt a German Shepherd Dog.
We try to contact every one by phone but if that isn't successful we will email our application form to you, which needs to be completed and returned, or you can call us back and we can chat and complete for you. We will also ask you to provide photos of your yard and fencing to enable us to see where the dog will be kept and that they have areas of shade and shelter.
All our dogs are ready to go to their new home, so when you enquire about a dog you must be in a position to take them into your home. We are unable to hold a dog while you fix your fences or go on holiday, etc.
The successful candidate who adopts one of our dogs is provided with an information kit, ongoing support, training and advice on all aspects of feeding, training and general assistance to ensure both the new owner and our rescued dog settle into their home.
