About Cosmos
I was sad when I had flu and felt sorry for myself and withdrawn. I half heartedly hissed when my foster mum tried to stroke me the first couple of times but was purring my head off within a couple of seconds, you see I love pats, tummy rubs and head bumps. I was very good taking all my medication and also being handled by the vet. I have a very sweet nature and love positive attention.
It took me a couple of days to settle in and then I felt comfortable enough to start to explore around the house, first I hung around in the kids' rooms next to my bathroom then by day 5 I was hanging out with the family in the lounge. I'm very tolerant of small children though I'll move on if they become excitable.
My favourite places to sleep are the hard chair in the bedroom, the sofa or bed to keep the humans company and on top of the suitcase under the bed in the kids' room (I like to watch the kids play from here and also I get to stick my paw out the side of the bed to play with them.
I always go to the toilet in my tray and have very good toileting behaviour.
I like both dry biscuits and wet food.
I'm a very affectionate cat who answers to my name when called and will always appreciate cuddles. I also occasionally like a
lap cuddle but mostly prefer to snuggle up next to you. I'm very happy being picking up and will head bump your face.
I don't jump very high or haven't tried to yet and I'm a bit quirky because I haven't found my voice... I occasionally try to meow but nothing comes out.
I've become more playful and have a bit of a play in the morning and a good play in the evening which is enough to keep me content. I love playing with a scarf/ribbons hanging off a doorknob or chasing kids toys across the floor.
All in all I'm a young lad, who can't wait to find his furever home so that I can just fit in with your life. As I get older I might find more quirks but for the time being I'm pretty flexible.
Adoption details
Just browse some of the photos of our beautiful cats available for adoption or come to our shelter in Shenton Park to meet our many beautiful kitties.
Please be aware that the cats featured on this page represent only a very small portion of the total number of beautiful felines we have available for adoption. We do not include any of our kittens on this page, as the turnover for youngsters is simply too high to keep up-dating, but we always have many beautiful kittens looking for homes!
Also many of our cats and kittens are currently staying in temporary foster homes out in the community but are still looking for a loving home, so please call Cat Haven in advance if you want to make arrangements for a meeting with a foster cat.
