About Sal
All About Me and My Unique Personality:
Sal is a really loving and sweet cat once she knows she is in no danger – that won’t take long! At first she can be a little shy and may hide when you first enter the room. Once she hears your voice she immediately comes out and begins rubbing herself on your legs, head butting your hands for pats and having a bit of a chat.
It seems as though Sal may not have known many of the comforts of life before arriving into care and will choose a hard floor over a comfy bed, she is pretty reluctant to jump on the lounge and even when placed there will get edgy to get down but will happily sit at your feet being patted.
Sal is an absolutely stunning girl. Gorgeous dark stripes, ginger spots and striking face markings. She really is a cat with looks and a huge heart.
My Ideal Home:
Sal’s ideal home will need to be understanding that it may take her a week or so to completely settle in. Once she is settled you will have a very loving and loyal companion. A home with one of her little girls would be absolutely ideal but not essential (Sal's girls are all a little bit special so keep an eye out for them on here or get in touch if you would like to adopt Sal with one of her girls).
Her new home will need to be 100% dedicating to keeping Sal indoors and safe so she doesn’t stray. Having lived in a rural area she may not be as used to the dangers of city life.
What is Known About My Background:
Sal was delivered to a local Veterinary practice with her 4 teensy babies in tow. She was quite underweight and very scared when she first arrived. She would give the occasional hiss to warn us off her babies before realising it was just us and heading straight out for some love.
How Do I Interact with Kids, Dogs, Cats and Other Pets:
Sal loves everyone once she (quickly) learns to trust them. She had no nastiness in her and will happily head bump the 3 year old in our home if he isn’t patting her enough. Again, once she learns to trust you there will be no issues in her new home. I think Sal would prefer a home on a day to day basis with older children but visiting young children would be perfectly fine.
Sal is yet to meet any other cats or dogs. She has been busily raising her little girls and like a good mumma cat has all those protective instincts going on. She may meet cats in coming weeks once she has had a chance to fully wean her babies and have her necessary vet work completed.
** ***Sal will be ready for her new family around late February******
