About Nihari
Nihari is looking for a child-free home: she is named after a curry because she is a spicy young cat! She's very cautious of humans and has a fearsome hiss, but tolerates pats sometimes. Nihari was a wonderful caring mother to a litter of kittens (all adopted), despite barely being out of kittenhood herself, and is now ready to reclaim her youth. She is still very untrusting of humans; you can't touch her, though if you're lucky you may get a little nose touch from her. She really needs patience and love to make the leap from scaredy stray cat to loving feline companion. The ideal person for a cat like Nihari is a single or couple with no children and a confident cat friendly cat: Nihari loves other cats. Humans... not so much. We believe she is worth the effort and want to find exactly the right home for her.
If you think you are up for the challenge of winning this little girls heart and loyalty, click the enquire now link below and let's introduce you!
Nihari is a healthy raw fed cat who's been wormed, flea treated, vaccinated and microchipped (microchip #953010004244974, source #EE101165). She is available for PRE adoption. A deposit can be made to hold the her until she is ready for adoption, which will be when her kittens are weaned and have been desexed, and her own vet work/desexing has been completed and healed.
------------------------------------------------------
To adopt a cat from Cat People you'll be required to have a remote or in-person house check done, show photo ID & proof of address, and fill out & sign an adoption contract.
Cats from our group are all are vet checked, flea treated, wormed, vaccinated and desexed before being taken home by their adopters. Additionally, all of our cats have been evaluated for behavioural traits, fed a high-quality diet, and well socialised. Please note: all Cat People cats and kittens are indoor only, this is not negotiable.
We will communicate with you through every step of the adoption process to ensure that your experience (and the cat's) is excellent and that you are confident in your decision to adopt a feline companion. Returns are only accepted due to health issues confirmed by a veterinarian.
We only accept adoptions from people with residency in Australia. If you are on a work or student visa, talk to us about fostering with the group instead!
