About Buddy
Meet Buddy! This fun and beautiful boy came to SAFE Esperance as an owner surrender with a female sibling and has settled well into foster care as an only dog.
Buddy can be timid when first meeting you, especially with men or strangers, until he knows you mean him no harm. Once settled he becomes a most affectionate, outgoing and friendly boy.
Buddy really wants to please his humans, is obedient and bright, and ready to learn. He knows sit and wait and being food motivated will pick up new commands with ease.
He has lived around children but can jump up in excitement so would be better in a home with children over 10 years.
Buddy can be apprehensive with dogs but is gaining confidence and once he knows they are friendly he loves to play. He walks quietly on the lead and is housetrained.
Buddy loves his walks, and going to the beach is one of his favourite activities. He is a medium to high energy dog so needs a really good walk every day to keep him healthy and happy. Buddy didn't learn to play with toys as a pup and doesn't really understand what they are for so would much prefer a cuddle or a game with his humans and if his energy needs are met he is not destructive.
Beautiful Buddy is looking for a home where he is part of the family and included in their activities. He would need his new family to give him daily exercise and stimulate his active brain with car rides, games, meets with other dogs and lots of cuddle time - he is a very affectionate and loyal boy.
Buddy could live with another dog, preferably female, dependent on meet, but he would also be very happy as an only dog so that he could lap up all the affection and attention in the home. He has not been tested with cats but we feel he has a tendency to chase.
If you can provide the love and attention that Buddy so deserves, please fill in an enquiry and we will be in touch soon.
