About Pixie
Can be a happy bouncy girl when she knows you, and cheeky, sometimes being hard to catch in yard. has been walking with other dogs but needs more positive socialisation as can yelp with over bearing dogs, she loves dogs that are gentle. House trained. Can be wary of strangers at first, scared of sudden movements and loud noises. Will need time to settle in a new home with experienced and understanding owners, this dog has limited life skills and lots of unsurity that she needs to overcome with training and time with positive interactions. She is treat motivated and is eager to please and looks to her handler for guidance but does need confidence building. Secure 6ft fencing a must. Best no small children due to nervy nature. Wary of cats, initial sniff and move on, whine on second approach when closer to cat, mild hackles when hissed at and backs away. chooks etc unknown.
Adoption details
(1) The first step is to fill in our online Adoption Questionnaire:
https://aus01a.sheltermanager.com/service?account=rc0442&method=online_form_html&formid=16
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we may arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The four week trial begins on the day of adoption.
We prefer payment by funds transfer or cash and don't accept personal cheques.
