About Biskit
Can you give this beautiful scaredy a loving home after four years in foster care? You will help us save many more lives by letting the foster carers continue fostering as Biskit likes a settled family life with people and animals she trusts.
Biskit came into foster care as almost a kitten herself (<1 yr), but also a loving new mum of 6 kittens. As expected, the kittens were snapped up, all adopted while cute and cuddly, but Biskit has been up for adoption ever since with no applications. Biskit obviously had a rough life before coming to FFAR, and is very untrusting of humans and other animals until she gets to know them. With the carer's own pets passing on, and the other long term foster cat she happily co-existed with being adopted, unfortunately Biskit is in a home that has a stream of foster cats coming through, which she finds very stressful. She is passive and very timid, hiding until she assesses other humans and animals as not being a threat, which takes time.
She actually enjoys being around her humans, but runs away when strangers visit, making a meet and greet near impossible. However, once she bonds with you and feels safe, Biskit is a smoochy cat that loves being patted, and giving gentle headbutts. In winter especially, she wants to sleep on your bed, and ask for headscratches.
She also likes other dogs and cats when she learns to trust them. She loved the two old resident jack russell/border collie/kelpie Xs, often trying to snuggle into one of them on the couch, or following the other around like one of the pack. She also co-habitated with one other grumpy, hissy but disinterested cat but runs from friendly interested or aggressive cats. She loves an indoor-outdoor lifestyle and will spend the mornings soaking up the sun on the deck, and is content staying within the yard (except to be fed treats from the neighbour).
Please help give Biskit the happy home she deserves, a home as a single cat or with another disinterested cat and suitable dogs. She lives with a toddler but again finds their energy and enthusiasm stressful.
By giving Biskit a home you are saving many lives as you are enabling her foster family to continue.
Medical notes
Biskit has been desexed, microchipped and vaccinated! She has also needed to have some teeth removed!
