About Drizella
Drizella. How do we even begin to describe this quirky girl?
Drizella is a sassy lass with oodles of personality. It took a long, long time for her foster carer to break through the angry walls Drizella had built to reveal the smoochy, playful, cheeky girl inside.
Drizella came into care already pregnant at only 8 months of age. She had lived all her short life on the streets, doing it tough and fending for herself. Socialising with humans wasn't high on her priority list in the early part of her life so even once she was safe in foster care receiving lots of TLC and regular meals, it took a lot of convincing for her to stop hating people.
Drizella will suit a few different kinds of homes - she would make a fantastic shed cat if you're looking for a kitty to sort out your rodent problem.
Or she would be a content indoor/outdoor cat for a family who want a kitty around but don't mind getting swiped occasionally.
Or she could even be a happy indoor cat, as long as her personal space is respected.
Basically, Drizella will learn to love you with time (she's SUPER smoochy with her foster mum now) but in the initial period she won't be very friendly at all. She will swat and swipe and you'll need to give her time and space to settle in.
Although she was extremely young when her kittens were born, Drizella did a wonderful job - now that her babies are weaned, she's getting back to the task of being a kitten herself!
Drizella LOVES to play and chase and pounce and have fun. But she also loves to just laze around and enjoy peaceful days in patches of sunshine.
Oh and did we mention she's just stunning to look at?
Drizella will be happy to live around cats and dogs as long as she has a sensible and steady introduction. She has interacted with lots of other cats in foster care and sometimes her sassiness spills over and she gives them a telling off but mostly she will either ignore other cats or play with them occasionally.
Drizella isn't suited to living with small children who want to chase her around for pats - she's just not up for that! - but if kids can give her space then she'll be fine.
So in summary - if you want a cat who wants pats but not all the time; if you don't mind a cat who won't like you at first but will grow to love you; if you want a cat who will keep you entertained; if you want a cat who can socialise with other animals; if you want a drop-dead gorgeous cat; if (most importantly) you want to save a cat who truly needs a chance in life.... then you want Drizella!
