About Lady
Hi, my name is Lady and I can’t wait to find my forever home!
Everyone who meets me says that I’m a sweetie – my foster Mum, her friends, the vet, the nurses at the vet – everyone falls in love with my gorgeous brown eyes, head tilt and big, wide smile.
I am a bit timid when I am in new situations, but once I get to know you, I will hang by your side looking for kind words and pats. I’ve just started to learn to walk on a lead, and because I get a little anxious, I’m not one of those doggos who will drag your arm out of your socket - I just like to stay close to you, but I do like to sniff around my environment while on the lead. I’ve been on a couple of long car rides and have travelled well too – no car sickness for me!
I like to be occupied when you’re not there – I love chew toys and have things that help me keep my brain active. I will need at least 6ft fences to keep me safe at home.
My foster Mum has been working on some basic commands with me – I am very food-oriented, and have quickly learnt to sit and wait until I’ve been instructed to eat, and am now working on some calming commands. I am still young though so I can get a little jumpy when excited, especially when there’s a treat for me. But foster Mum says we are working on that too.
I have just learned to ‘shake’ & I’m getting better at fetching ball because I know I might get a treat. I have mastered getting down on the floor to show my foster mum how good a girl I am when she tells me to, and when I’m about to get my food bowl.
I love playing with my fur foster sister, and interact well with other dogs after the proper introductions. I would also be just as happy as the only doggo in the family – as long as I can be close to my humans – I just love company.
Foster Mum is absolutely smitten with me, but she knows that I would really love to be in a family where I am allowed in the house more, snuggling up with my family - head on your lap watching tv kind of people.
I've met cats before but am a bit too exuberant for them, so it's best my new home does not have cats.
I would love the chance to meet you and show you how totally adorable I am – I’m yet to find someone who doesn’t just fall straight in love with me!
