Please note: Chloe and Kobi will be rehomed together.
Perhaps we should rename this pair, Lancelot and Guinevere, for that is what they are like – a lovely, gentle, relationship between two stately, well-mannered citizens!
They are great friends and definitely look to each other. Kobi can often be found washing Chloe and giving her adoring, attention and when Chloe wakes in the morning, she gives big, wet, kisses to the sleeping face of her best friend. They enjoy sharing their dog bed at night and Kobi loves to snuggle under a blanket.
Though both dogs show a clear bond and affinity for each other, they also have the ability to be independent. Chloe likes to wander off for some solo time and Kobi likes to take it slowly in the morning and snooze a little bit longer.
Both Kobi and Chloe are great on lead and love their daily walk. They enjoy a wander around the garden, to relax and take time to smell the roses and leisurely watch the birds flutter by. Both dogs can be let off lead, provided they are exploring in an enclosed area. Kobi is intrigued by the big, wide, world, just waiting to be explored – by him of course – and could wander off in pursuit of all the lovely, smells and sights before him. They both have reasonable recall, however, it might be on their terms, if you let them get away with it!
They are well mannered and know the commands to come (even if a bit slow), go to their beds, sit and shake, although Kobi does not do too much sitting now-a-days! They are toilet trained.
These dogs are a delight with people and other dogs. They are friendly, relaxed and welcoming. They are currently sharing their foster home with cats and generally, seem dis-interested in them, therefore, provided a cat is dog savvy, they should be fine to share a home with cat/s.
We do not feel Chloe and Kobi are suited to city life and believe they will be happiest in an outer city environment or rural space. If adopted by a family, older children and a slower paced household would be ideal.
This pair may be in their twilight years, however, they are amazing – their energy and calm demeanours, together with their good health, belies their ages. Imagine how amazing your world could be with the addition of these beautiful, bonded, friends. Are they the ones for you?

Adoption details
We are a community fostercare network, not a shelter, and our dogs and cats are cared for in private homes. Note that we are very careful where we rehome our dogs and cats and we have an intensive process. If you want a quick turnaround we are not the group for you. If you seem like a good match for the dog of your choice we will organise a telephone chat, a meet and greet and a property check. We offer a six-week full refund, free assistance for six weeks for any issues, and a lifetime takeback policy with a fifty percent refund of the adoption fee, and of course an invitation to our adopters’ Christmas party.
We care for our dogs and cats and we want you to as well. We know that genuine applicants have no trouble with this process and understand that if we refuse you a dog or cat, it is because you are not the best match for that pet.
Our commitment to the dogs and cats in our care is total and we treat each one as if we are passing on a family pet. This may not suit you so we point out that there are equally great dogs and cats available in pounds, shelters and with other rescue groups.
