About Charlie
Because all I want for Christmas is yooouuuu.
Hi, my name is Charlie and I'm told I am a smart, sweet, gentle and loving boy. I would be so happy to be part of a family, to live inside and cuddle up on the couch with you, I love to cuddle.
I know lots of commands already but please let me settle in a little first to discover all of my talents. I love my food so I am easily treat trained. I don't really know how to play with toys but would be happy to learn.
I may try a little too hard to please you at first and sometimes get it wrong. Please don't shout at me, I'm very sensitive, I just need you to calmly show me my boundaries and be a patient with me.
I'm a bit nervous of new people and dogs but very quickly get used to new situations. I would love it if you could help build my confidence in a controlled environment like doggy classes where I can meet other dogs on lead. The dog park may be a bit too much for me at first.
Because I love food you may want to move yours towards the back of the counter....
I'm very gentle and I think I will like children but there are no kids in my foster home. I haven't met any cats yet either but I do like other dogs, I just need a gentle introduction.
She also thinks anyone who chooses to add me to their family this Christmas is very lucky. Please find a space in your home for me and I will love you unconditionally and be a very good boy.
I don't want a lot for Christmas....
**Application Process** When on the Pet Rescue profile push the "enquire about this pet" button. Follow the prompts to "send enquiry now" and in the message section please place information about the home you can provide. Include current/past pets and their breed, children including ages that live with you or visit, and any other information relevant to training/exercise/energy requirements. The information you provide helps us match the dog you've applied for to the most suitable home. We use this information in lieu of an application form. We do not take applications for dogs over the phone. We aim to reply to all applications within 5 business days. All of our dog meet and greets occur at the adoption center in Craigieburn. The majority of our dogs are in a foster home not at the shelter so you need to apply via the website to meet them. Thank you. www.secondchanceanimalrescue.com.au ...because they all deserve one!
