On Hold
About Tiger - Located in Northcote
Tiger is the friendliest and most gorgeous cat out. The minute Tiger walked into his foster home he made himself at home and snuggled up against all humans he could find and he is only getting friendlier by the minute (if that is even possible). He loves cuddles, pats, play time, brush time and especially food time!
Tiger has the most gorgeous meow and will talk to you, although his meow is nice and quiet. He will jump up for cuddles at any chance he gets but also respects your space if you tell him to. Tiger is more than happy to share your human bed if you allow him, or he is happy snuggled away asleep on the couch (which is especially fun to watch as he falls sleep in the funniest positions and is always dreaming and twitching away)!
When in foster care, as soon as Tiger heard the front door click open he ran towards the door like a puppy to greet the foster carers and followed them around until he gets a proper hello pat. Tiger loves other cats, getting along with all his foster ‘siblings’, playing with them and grooming them. Tiger would suit a household with someone to give him enough snuggles and attention and would make friends with other cats. He is an absolute sweetheart and anyone would be lucky to have him as part of their family!
I am FIV+ - but don't see that as a negative, because I really am a great catch.

Medical notes
The adoption fee includes de-sexing, micro-chip, current vaccination, flea and worm treatment while in care.
FIV positive cats live a normal life for many many years and we cannot predict the life span of these cats. FIV positive cats sometimes have a scruffy coat and the condition can lead to chronic recurrent infections in the mouth, eye and skin. FIV cannot infect people, however it can infect other cats through bite wounds commonly from fights. FIV positive cats can co-exist with other cats that don't have FIV without issues.
We encourage that the cat is either an indoor cat or a confined cat - eg access to a cat run outdoors. We recommend regular vet visits (6 monthly) to monitor weight, coat changes, mouth etc.
No other known health issues.
Maneki Neko Cat Rescue would like to help ensure you and your new companion/s have a long and happy life together. Please be advised that if you should find that you are not a purrfect match, or if you need to rehome your new pet at any stage of its life, Maneki Neko Cat Rescue will take the cat back into care and find a new home.
Maneki Neko Cat Rescue provides a 7 day health warranty on all adoptions. Although all our cats and kittens are health checked prior to adoption, sometimes the stress of a new environment can upset their immune system.
