About Dozer *On Trial In His New Home*
*DOZER IS CURRENTLY TRIALLING HIS NEW HOME - NO MORE ENQUIRIES/APPLICATIONS PLEASE* Meet Dozer!! This handsome older fella will make you fall in love all over again if you can just see past his greying muzzle and into his wonderful heart! Dozer is looking for a “retirement home” where he can enjoy an indoor / outdoor lifestyle and have his humans all to himself 24/7, so no other dogs and he’s not too keen on cats; Dozer just totally thrives on human contact!
Adopted from The Lost Dogs’ Home over 5 years ago, Dozer’s age at the time was guesstimated to be roughly 10, so no one’s sure what his real age is but we think he’s more likely to be closer to 12 years old given that he’s still full of beans which this video clearly shows: https://youtu.be/_25tJr6u2Sg
Generously affectionate, this gorgeous dog still manages to bring joy to everyone who meets him, and as mentioned above Dozer still has plenty of life in him yet; according to our vet he is in excellent health!. All the qualities that people so often look for in the ‘perfect’ Staffy can be found in Dozer - he knows “sit”, “drop” and “wait”, and still likes a short walk around the block. Dozer is not a yapper and will only bark for a reason making him a good watchdog. He doesn’t normally jump up on people or furniture unless he’s asked to.
Adorable Dozer is playful and loves a good game of fetch, and as you can see from his video Dozer brings the toy back every time, or at least until he’s run out of puff! He still gets excited when meeting new people but soon settles down and will happily chill by your side or on his bed while you entertain. Dozer travels well in a car and really likes to go wherever his humans are going; he’s not such a fan of being left home alone, so he’d suit retirees or even someone who works from home or can take Dozer with them.
The only things Dozer doesn’t like are thunderstorms and fireworks which make him quite anxious, and he will seek out his human so he can cuddle up real close to feel safe.
Dozer eats dry food twice a day which he must be allowed to eat inside – he’s housetrained of course and sleeps inside at night which is a requisite in his forever home.

Adoption details
Please Note: SARG and our animals for adoption are located in Mildura in North-West Victoria.
Our adoption process commences with completing an Application form which you'll find at: www.sarg.net.au
The Application is then reviewed, references checked and a yard check done, then, if there are no issues, a meet and greet is organised. If all goes well the last stage is a 28 day home-trial to make sure that everyone is happy.
If the trial is successful our “stray” is then officially considered adopted and the microchip transferred into the new owners name.
If anything goes wrong SARG will always take back one of our animals :)
