About Peter
Hello there, my name is Peter and I want to be the newest member of your family!
I am a fairly laid back, chill kind of chap and I'm happiest sitting on your knee. I'm great on lead and have been tested by my BARC family in social situations - I attended a Christmas function and was surrounded by lots of children and noise and I am proud to say I was an absolute gem! I'm really great with kids! I've also gone for walks around the lake and I've got really great on-lead manners.
I get along well with other dogs but was a bit disrespectful of the dogs at my foster home and spent a lot of time pestering them, which they quite frankly weren't real fans of. I would be really content and easy going as an only dog, but this is not to say I can not go to a home with other dogs. I probably have never learnt proper social etiquete and this may take some time and patience on the part of my new family if they have other dogs.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
