About Tom Thumb
Everyone meet Tom Thumb! This handsome man was brought into the shelter after being abandoned at his previous home and is now looking for someone to come and give him the purr-fect home. Tom is a polydactyl cat, which means he has too many toes on each paw, making it look like he has thumbs! This doesn't stop Tom from being super cute and very affectionate though. Tom loves head rubs and chin scratches, he also loves a good cuddle. Although he loves a good pat and a cuddle he can become a bit overwhelmed, this then leads to Tom licking and giving a little nibble, this is his way of telling people that he has had enough and it's time to leave him alone. Because of this the staff at the shelter believe the best home for Tom is one with adults only or children who are 10 year or older. He has shown a little bit of interest in playing with toys, after he has settled in a home he may become more comfortable and start to play with them when offered. Tom does not like other cats, so he will need to go to a home where he can be the only animal in the house and soak up all the attention. In Tom's best interest he will need to go to a home that isn't too loud or busy. He will also need to be a indoor only cat, unless he has a secure enclosed cat run or back garden. If you think that you can give Tom Thumb his for ever home, please come in and meet him!
