About Max
Introducing our very handsome, lazy, and lovable Ridgeback x....Max!
Max adores his humans, both small and large, and although he can get a little excited at times and jump up on you, he's great with young kids and enjoys his pats and cuddles from them. He's super friendly and greets everyone with a tail wag. He has previously lived with another small dog and been exposed to medium size dogs, but has adapted well to being an only dog while in foster care.
He loves to go for walks and play fetch. Since arriving in care, his carer has been walking him on a Halti due to him pulling with a leash & harness. Max is doing really well with this, although he does tend to get completely distracted when another dog is around, so this is something he will need ongoing training with.
Max is an inside/outside dog and he loves hanging out with his humans....He also has no idea of his size and will try for a spot on your lap if given the chance. He sleeps inside at night but would be fine sleeping outdoors if you were happy for him to guard the property as he will bark if he hears noises. Max does enjoy sleeping indoors, close to his humans which he's currently doing in his foster home. Whilst he's happy to spend time on his own while his humans aren't home, Max is very much a people dog and loves to be close by. He will sit on command, sits before eating dinner and shakes hands.
Max will need a family who are committed to providing Max with ongoing training. He can be stubborn at times, but is generally well behaved. He travels well in the car and would enjoy going on family outings. Max enjoys napping during the day and quite happy to explore the yard on his own. If he was to be rehomed with another dog, we will need the dogs to be introduced prior to adoption to make sure they both get along.
Max is now on the lookout for a new forever home and currently in foster care in Erina on the Central Coast NSW. He is very much looking forward to meeting you!

Adoption details
If you would like to express interest in adopting, we ask that you send through some info about yourself, your family and home, if you rent or own (rental agreement required if renting and rates notice required if you own) and what you can offer this gorgeous baby. Our aim is to find the best homes for our babies, not necessarily first in best dressed, so a good detailed application will make you stand out from the rest.
Once we have received your email outlining the above, those who we feel may be suitable, will be sent an Adoption Questionnaire to complete. Your enquiry will then be passed onto the appropriate carer and successful applicants will be contacted via phone.
