About Cecil - Located in Fitzroy North
Cecil is an absolute sweetheart of a cat. Although blind, Cecil does not let that get in the way of playing and searching out new places to sleep. Cecil took no time in exploring his foster carer's apartment, pressing his little face into the walls as he got his bearings. Cecil quickly learnt how to jump up on the bed and had no issues with using the litter tray. Within a few days he was moving around as if he owned the place.
Cecil loves playing with toys that have bells on them, and snuggles up next to his carer at night on the bed. He has the sweetest little face and so much love to give. Cecil would make a fantastic cat for anyone wanting an extra special furry friend. Because Cecil is blind he needs to be kept indoors or only outside if supervised or in an enclosed area. Cecil would benefit from a quiet environment where his sweet little personality can shine.
Don’t let Cecil’s blindness put you off adopting this gorgeous boy. He is a night time snuggler and quiet adventurer, he will be an wonderful addition to your home.
**I am FIV+ - but don't see that as a negative, because I am a great catch.

Medical notes
The adoption fee includes de-sexing, micro-chip, current vaccination, flea and worm treatment while in care.
Cecil, as already stated, is blind so he would need to be an indoor only cat, have supervised outdoor time or have access to an enclosed outdoor area.
Cecil is also FIV+. FIV positive cats live a normal life for many years and we cannot predict the life span of these cats. FIV positive cats sometimes have a scruffy coat and the condition can lead to chronic recurrent infections in the mouth, eye and skin. FIV cannot infect people, however it can infect other cats through bite wounds commonly from fights. FIV positive cats can co-exist with other cats that don’t have FIV without any issues.
No other known health issues.
Maneki Neko Cat Rescue would like to help ensure you and your new companion/s have a long and happy life together. Please be advised that if you should find that you are not a purrfect match, or if you need to rehome your new pet at any stage of its life, Maneki Neko Cat Rescue will take the cat back into care and find a new home.
Maneki Neko Cat Rescue provides a 7 day health warranty on all adoptions. Although all our cats and kittens are health checked prior to adoption, sometimes the stress of a new environment can upset their immune system.
