About Tommy
****Please APPLY using this link.https://www.goldenpawsrescue.com.au/forms - Only these completed EOI Applications will be responded to****
10 year old Tommy is a delightful happy guy who just loves life. He is always smiling and is so happy to be with his family. He loves a rumble after brekky and dinner with his foster fur brother. Tommy loves his daily walks and is super excited when he visits the beach every few days. He will happily wander up to other doggies to say hi and just have a splash around in the water!
Tommy was overweight when surrendered but has lost 3.5kg to date, now weighing in at 32kg. He is currently on weight control kibble to encourage his weight loss, & he loves his raw BARF. Tommy is also having joint supplements which would continue with his new family. He is housetrained & sleeps inside at night, a must for all our doggies.
Tommy is a very happy excitable boy. He appears years younger than his 10 years of age. Although we encourage him to use a ramp, he can jump in & out of the back of our car with ease. He walks very well on lead & his recall is quite good.
When Tommy gets excited, he does a little “squeal” noise, it is just a little quirk he has! He doesn’t do this all the time. For example when playing with a few other doggies, he will have a squeal while romping around. When he gets fed in the morning, and at night – after finishing his food and he begins to rumble with the other dogs for play time, he can squeal then. It is part of his personality and his new family will love him for it!
Tommy has also had a full dental undertaken. At the time of Tommy’s wellness check with our Vet, there were no signs of HD, or arthritic changes in his legs. Tommy does have a callus on his front left leg which had an infection, we have treated with antibiotics recently & we have been given the all clear by our Vet.
What does Tommy Need?
Tommy would suit a family that are home a lot and with no young children as he can get quite excited around his hoomans! Tommy likes attention and wants to be with you, so perhaps a retired couple that are active with another doggie for company to rumble with, or a family that works part time. Tommy has been okay with our resident cat!
Tommy has been desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm & intestinal wormed, flea and tick treated, and his adoption fee is $450. Tommy is available for adoption in Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast and Hervey Bay. Please note we do not adopt interstate or overseas. Tommy is being fostered in Hervey Bay.
