About Margo
171 is a pretty big number - that's how many days sweet little Margo has been waiting for her home!
Margo (the tabby) is pictured with her dad Wade Boggs (the black and white) - they came into care together and can be adopted either separately or as a super cute pair.
Wade and Margo previously lived in an orchard on a property in Goomalling (with the rest of their extended feline family!) The owners of the property decided that it would be best if there weren't a whole bunch of cats breeding out of control in the orchard, and we are inclined to agree.
Margo grew up with people always around her, but always at an arm's length - because she wasn't handled much by people as a kitten, she is unsure of strangers and is not a 'cuddly' cat. However, during her months in foster care this little darling has really blossomed and formed a lovely bond with her foster mum - she has a huge purr and loves a stroke, all the way down her back and right up to the tip of her tail.
Margo also LOVES food :)
We are hoping to find Margo a family who will love her dearly and understand that it will take weeks of time, patience and giving her a space of her own, before Margo becomes your friend.
Once she feels safe and at home, Margo will be sweet, affectionate and playful - but she needs respect for her personal space and an understanding that her relationship with you will be on her terms; if you try to rush towards her or pick her up suddenly, she will suddenly disappear out of sight. But if you let her come to you and become your friend slowly, you will form a really wonderful bond with this gorgeous girl.
Wade Boggs is somewhat more aloof and distant with people than his daughter - he was obviously living out on his own for much longer than she was and so he has retained somewhat of a distrust of people.
Wade has an incredibly endearing face with big chubby cheeks that you just want to squeeze, but unfortunately he's not keen on the cheek-squeezing :)
He's a great cat to have if you don't *really* want a cat - he'll mooch around and look cute, and might occasionally come up for a pat - but that's it. The majority of the time, he just wants to be doing important cat things like eating, sleeping, chasing bugs and laying in the sun.
Wade and Margo are both super social with other cats and are okay with cat-friendly dogs.
They could be adopted as house cats or as shed cats/barn cats if you have a rodent problem (though Margo will definitely want to become your friend eventually, so we would prefer them to have the opportunity to socialise with people to some extent).
They can be adopted together or separately.
They are FREE to adopt (though we gladly appreciate any donations towards the vet work they have received!)
They are both sterilised, microchipped, vaccinated and parasite treated.
We can't wait to see these guys in gorgeous homes, please get in touch today if you can offer them the life they desire!
