Last year, this beautiful boy was surrendered to our program but he was lame. We were not aware of this before taking him, but he had apparently suffered a fractured hock racing months previously. FOTH arranged for his leg to be surgically repaired and undertook the after-care. Unfortunately, it wasn’t without problems – he had a pressure sore on his foot and later developed a bone infection.
Tim has been in long-term foster care and sadly after many, many months of physiotherapy, ongoing vet visits and optimum care, the bone density in his leg had deteriorated, requiring amputation. This recent surgery went well, but complications set in afterward, requiring days of specialist veterinary intervention. Poor Tim has been through so much – it is heart-breaking to think of the pain and discomfort he has suffered. But he has come through, and now he needs a permanent home!
Tim the Tripaw would thrive best in a quiet home with another Greyhound or medium to large dog. He is quite anxious & timid at times but will settle in happily with a set routine & loving owner.
Can you provide a caring future for this beautiful boy?
