About Binx
Hi! I'm Binx, I've just moved into my foster home and I am still settling in. I do get scared by noises I'm not familiar with but I am getting braver everyday. I am also learning to trust my foster mum. She feeds me yummy veggies from her hands so I am often coming up to her each time she comes to sit with me.
Just like a lot of guinea pigs, I love to bury myself under things. Whether it's hay, tunnels, or even a small blanket. I eat a variety of foods - I'm still trying to decide on my favourites but hay and fresh greens every day are a must. Us guinea pigs have teeth that are always growing. Having hay available all the time gives us something to nibble on and also helps to keep our teeth at a healthy length and our bellies happy.
What else will I need to be happy? A gnawing block, a brush once or twice a week, fresh water in a metal spouted drip bottle and my own sleeping area - with a cover on top. Guinea pigs need their home cleaned every day and their bedding changed every week. We can live for up to ten years!
I CAN FLY TO PERTH!
Flying for a few hours is very important for animals in remote locations because it gives us the opportunity to be adopted. Talk to SAFE about flying me to you in Perth.
