About Avery
Avery is a friendly active girl who loves people. She is tolerant of children but does not seek out their company. She is very "nose" oriented and loves to sniff out the world. She sits for treats. Our trainer says: "she is gentle and sweet. She copes well with noise and movement when with people. Nice girl." Avery walks on lead with encouragement but lunges at other dogs. She jumps up to lick your face! Wakers say: “Alert to all sounds (not cars), hard to get up the hill, but after that good to walk. Needs firm hand – eats treats from hand”, “Beautiful girl”, “A lovely dog, sweet nature. Seemed a little unsettled and a bit skittish – probably because she is new” She has a short coat and weighs 32kg.
Suit Full Time Worker: Not overly needy and can entertain itself. DR recommends play time, dog toys etc.
Garden: Needs a home that has more space as well as a garden for exercise and regular walks outside.
Good with Kids: Shown to be good with kids in the controlled environment of the Shelter.
Medical notes
She comes desexed, C5 vaccinated, heartworm free and microchipped. Also included for the love and health of our dogs is a free Health and Wellness Voucher with our DR Vet.
Adoption details
DoggieRescue is a charitable organisation and as such we rely very much on volunteers to manage our adoptions. We answer initial adoption enquiries by email or phone and then arrange an appointment for you to meet some of our rescue dogs.
At DoggieRescue we believe our dogs deserve to find that special someone who will love them and look after them forever. We know that there are homes out there that are willing to accommodate one more little member of the family and dedicate time to their well being.
