About Russell
All About Me and My Unique Personality:
Russell is a friendly and gentle giant. Russell gets along with well his foster brother Joey the cattle dog, but does not pay him much attention. Therefore, Russell would be suitable as both an only dog or with a companion. Russell is very well behaved when walking on a lead and travelling in the car. Russell loves walks, the beach, getting washed and of course human affection (he is a big sook).
Russell is desexed, fully vaccinated, flea and worm treated and lifetime registered. The only thing he is missing is a loving family.
My Ideal Home:
Due to his size and jumping capability, Russell would need a secure yard with tall fencing to keep him safe. Russell hates being kept in the laundry overnight, so would need a nice big kennel to keep him warm of a night. His new owners would need to walk him daily to keep him happy and healthy.
What is Known About My Background:
Russell was surrendered by his previous family to a rural pound.
How Do I Interact with Kids, Dogs, Cats and Other Pets:
It is unknown how Russell interacts with children, he can be excitable but settles after a short time. He understands the word “no” and is easy to control for a large dog. However, he may not be suitable for small children due to his size.
Russell gets along fine with most dogs but can become defensive if another dog shows any sign of aggression towards him. I have always kept his lead on when taking him out in public areas just as a precaution.
It is unknown how Russell interacts with small animals/ pocket pets.
