About Kansas
PLEASE NOTE THAT UNFORTUNATELY WE ARE UNABLE TO FLY OUR ANIMALS EITHER WITHIN WA OR INTERSTATE. WE CAN HOWEVER ARRANGE TRANSPORT BY ROAD TO THE PERTH AREA.
Meet sweet Kansas!
Kansas came to SAFE Esperance as a small kitten with 9 other kittens from the same site in Norseman - they were living outside and were not well with cat flu, or safe in their environment, so were brought to SAFE Esperance for care and rehoming.
Kansas although a little frightened seemed to be relieved to be rescued so that we could start treatment for his condition. He was the smallest kitten and the most in need but was an absolute angel while being given his medications. Kansas is a friendly and relaxed little boy and enjoys interacting with strokes and cuddles. He has the most gorgeous purr and would be a wonderful companion in a loving home.
Kansas has always shared his space with other siblings and kitten friends and could live with another cat with careful and sensitive introduction. He is playful and likes his toys but is also happy to chill and have a smooch.
Due to his difficult start Kansas, although recovered, still has slightly runny eyes and may need his eyes gently wiped with cotton wool but this does not affect his health or quality of life.
The perfect home for Kansas would be calm and loving with owners willing to show Kansas the attention and affection that he desires - he will then repay you with lots of purrs and smooches. He could live with older children who understand how to interact with and handle a sweet kitten.
Due to the current Cat Laws in WA we encourage people to keep their rescued cat as a permanent indoor cat or with access to a safe cat run. It is no longer desirable to allow your cat to wander onto adjoining properties. Confident cats can also be trained to walk on a harness and lead. We ask that owners be responsible and keep their adopted cat safe at all times so that you will have a long and loving life together.
