Hi! My name is Reese and I am part of the ‘Chocolate’ Litter.
I am a cute ball of energy and I am looking for a home that will keep up with me. I am not going to be content laying at home all day, I want lots of adventures!
I have already learnt how to sit and a new home that is going to continue my training is a must.
I am very friendly and love to explore, I live with my 7 other siblings, 2 adult Kelpies and 2 bigger puppies, we all get along really well.
These puppies are already showing typical breed traits so will need extremely active homes.
A bit about the breed:
Kelpie’s are known for their boundless energy, enthusiasm and loyalty. For this reason, they are not recommended for inactive families, as they require lots of physical and mental stimulation each day.
A bored Kelpie can develop behavioural problems, so owners are encouraged to keep them well occupied.
A highly intelligent breed, the Kelpie is easy to train and a fast learner.
Leaving them home alone for long periods of time can spell disaster. Their natural herding instincts need to be contained and used properly from an early age, or they may end up nipping at the heels of children, other pets, and even guests, but with time and training, they can make loyal companions.
Medical notes
Reese has/will have the following vetwork completed:
~ Desexed
~ 2 x Vaccinations (C3 & C5)
~ Microchipped
~ All-Wormed
~ Flea Treated
~ Heartworm Treated
Adoption details
~ ADOPTION PROCESS ~
STEP 1: An Adoption application MUST be filled out prior to the meet and greet with the animal.
** PLEASE NOTE: WE DO NOT DO INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS ** We require all animals to have a meet & greet with their new family before they are officially adopted, no exceptions. If you are willing and able to meet the dog in person, we are happy to accomodate the adoption.
STEP 2: If successful, our foster carer will be in touch within 24-48 hours.
STEP 3: A 'Meet & Greet' with the animal and their carer will then take place. You must bring your current dog along to the meet and greet if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption. If meeting a cat we do not recommend brining your current dog/cat as this may stress the cat/kitten out.
STEP 4: The animal MUST not be taken on the day unless PRIOR ARRANGED (travelling over a 4 hr round trip), we will NOT ACCEPT the animal to be taken on the day if less then 2 days notice is given. If prior arrangement is made, an adoption agreement/s and payment must be made before collection of the animal.
STEP 5: A 10 day trial period commences once the animal has been collected from the foster carer.
STEP 6: The Adoption is the finalised after 14 days and paperwork is sent via email after this period. Please note this can take up to 4 weeks pending on the microchip paperwork.
Sorry we can’t take calls, as our rescue is run entirely by volunteers, but we endeavour to respond to your email within 24 - 48 hours. Your patience is greatly appreciated.
** PLEASE NOTE: WE DO NOT HOLD ANY ANIMALS SO PLEASE ONLY APPLY IF YOU ARE READY TO ADOPT NOW. **
