About Dobermann 05220515419100
This boy is just over 3 years old and is best suited for acreage, where he can run all day long and be himself, he would feel constrained in a suburban setting.
He is not a dog who will tolerate being micromanaged with strong lead corrections, he's incredibly alert, and is a voice command dog only based on the trust you share with him, which shows his high level of pedigree breeding.
He has lived with small dogs, and female Dobermanns, he has not been tested with cats.
He is not a dog for an average person, and you will need to demonstrate your ability to read a dog like this in order for us to consider your application.
This boy exemplifies the agile protector of valuable equipment, while being treated like a king, where he will be well-fed, groomed and cared for, with inside areas for him to get out of the sun, and comfortable areas with full access to water with a family he can bond with to ensure he maintains his breed-specific protection assertiveness and human connection. He is not a throw in a yard to forget him!
He requires human interaction from an upstanding person who is kind, firm and wise to vocal command with animals.
He has an incredible deep bark, he won't hesitate to use, but uses it appropriately, and learns what noises are normal and not normal within a given environment with a strong leader to show him the 'lay of the land.'
Your full compliance with diet and routine and a demonstrated ability of large breed dogs at the 40 kg mark is required.
Please send us a message via email to NewHomesForDobermanns@gmail.com
This boy is for pastoral acreage only 2.5 acres minimum only, in an area where he has access to good vet care, fully fenced contained areas and treated with respect, where he can sleep inside comfortably at night with access to outside areas as needed for property protection.
This boy has more protection drive than prey drive, he has prey drive too and is great on rabbits hunting and good for foxes, he is highly alert and does not miss a sound he is not familiar with.
You will be required to travel to Canberra for a meet and greet and training with this boy.
No suburban families will be considered, please do not ask.
Medical notes
no known medical issues, bloodline stable, thick nerves and highly agile.
Adoption details
We always correspond with an adoption form first, which requires pictures of the homes fences, and areas the dog will be contained.
We follow up with a phone call, to discuss your application and build a relationship with you so we get to know your needs and that of the Dobermann we may have in mind for your situation.
We will do a home check before we approve the adoption and a second phone call/facetime to finalize any outstanding question you or we may have.
We will ask for your vet's name and contact details as a reference.
Once we approve the adoption, the fee is paid, and we generate the paperwork in compliance with local councils and registration pertinent to each state where the approved home is.
