About Spot ~ 5 year old Foxy X (On Trial 8/2/20)
Meet Spot, a sweet gentle 5 year old Mini Foxy.
Spot is the little man you see jumping up to talk to you in his excitement but backing away just in case he is not welcome . Spot watched me walking with a roll of wrapping paper & flinched. Spot was part of a breeding pair before he come into rescue. Spot hasn't had a lot of cuddling or being picked up in his life. Spot is learning to get enjoyment from being loved and handled.
Spot will come to me when called, have a cuddle , a rub and give lots of kisses. Spot is learning to be comfortable enough to just lay on my lap or beside me instead of running back to his bed. Spot doesn't get aggressive, he just gets away. Spot has invisible barriers erected that he so wants to break down but needs to be given time for it to happen.
Spot is more comfortable with females, but is learning that males aren't the enemy. Spot has lived with dog friendly cats and was fine. Spot is house trained and uses a doggy door.
Are you willing to put in the time to help this boy? Will you understand that he needs space to learn trust but he needs to be pushed a little bit too. Spot lives with other dogs, follows them around but doesn't really interact with them. What Spot needs is a loving person home mostly.
For more information or to meet Spot, please contact Anne at anne4drn@gmail.com . Spot is in foster care in Singleton, NSW and is not available for adoption interstate. You can also fill out the adoption questionnaire here https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt
Spot's adoption fee is $450 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered.
