About Dozer
Dozer needs a new home through no fault of his own. His master is being posted at sea for a long stint, and unfortunately there isn't anyone he knows able to look after Dozer for the long duration.
Dozer's likes: He LOVES people. If he could spend the entire day with his human, whether it be laying at their feet, or following them around the place, he would be in paradise!
He also LOVES tug-o-war....no matter how much you play he is always ready to test your strength and perseverance...but when you say "stop", he is happy to stop and come to sit next to you on the couch, which leads to his next love...
...he loves being on the couch with his human, and if you let him, he will snuggle up on your bed too! (beware the snoring!!)
He does enjoy his food, but he doesn't rush his food down, and he doesn't mind gnawing on a giant bone for a few hours.
Like most dogs, he really enjoys going for a walk, and is pretty good on the lead, although he is easily distracted by smells, rabbits, or anything that darts around 🙂
Dozer has spent time with kids as young as 5 and he has enjoyed their company. He will line up for their pats and attention just has much from the adults.
Dozer's dislikes: He really doesn't like it when his human leaves him behind, but is accustomed to spend the day on his outside bed with his toys and bone until his human returns. He has never dug any holes, but does like to make a bed in some cool dirt on hot days.
His biggest dislike is other dogs. While it isnt with every dog, he would struggle sharing his space with another K9 so needs a home on his own.

Applicants will be assessed in terms of best suitability for the dog. A meet & greet and yard inspection are essential parts of the screening process.
The first 2 weeks for every adoption is a trial period to ensure that both the dog and family are a good match. And once everyone is happy the dog's microchip will be changed across to the new family.
