About Stubbs **On Trial With My New Family**
Hi there!
My name is Stubbs (I was born with this kind of tail). Sweet and snuggly, I love my cuddles and respond very well to treat-based training as I can be quite shy and stressed otherwise. I pick up new tricks and commands very fast as I am very observant and learn easily if you show me clearly what is required of me. I need someone commited to continuing to help me learn my manners around humans and other canines.
Highly intelligent and fit, I will need to be walked twice a day (up to 30mins only on each walk due to my young age and being a large breed) and definitely will require enrichment while you’re out.
I prefer not to be left alone more than 6 hours (but am getting better with longer days while my foster mum goes to work); as I can get bored and l will look for busywork to keep my mind and mouth busy to soothe me. If I’m left alone at night I will also tell the neighbours how much I’m missing you.
I would be best suited to someone who can have me along at work all day or better yet, work from home. I am a great companion, so you won't mind spending the day with me at all. I can't live with other animals at this stage as I wasn't well socialised as a young pup. I am also a bit rude and like to jump up when meeting new people so little humans are a bit overwhelmed by me currently, although my supervised interactions are ok.
My trainer is happy to help you out with some of my training in my first 2 weeks at your home and I will also come with a list of cues I already know and what I have already done to improve my socialisation.
I pick up new tricks and training very fast and I am very observant and can learn very easily if you show me or teach me first.
