About Nyx
Nyx or Nyxie as we call her is an 18 month old bull arab x she is still a big puppy who loves to play with other dogs in foster care and loves people. She is learning well and now walks well on a lead. She is happy to meet other dogs on walks on the lead as long as there is not too many of them, she feels overwhelmed in a dog park and can be scared. She would benefit from group dog obedience classes to continue increasing her confidence with groups of dogs. Nyxie has a very calm nature and has a very gentle slobbery mouth when taking food from your hand, she responds well to treats and is progressing with training. Nyx is crate trained overnight and happy to be inside when your inside or spend time outside with another doggy friend during the day. She still has puppy traits and enjoys a good chew so it is best that she is given enrichment chews and toys such as Kong's stuffed with treats or cow hooves to chew. Nyxie lives with dog savvy cats and is curious about them, she is fine with them unless they run, if they run she tries to play by chasing them. Nyxie has not lived with young children and when she has come across them on walks is curious to meet them but can be timid if they are noisy and shrieking. This beautiful girl would thrive in a home with another dog and people committed to her ongoing training.
Medical notes
Current medication for initial anxiety when she came into care, the behaviour vet believes this can be weaned eventually once she has been in a permanent home for a good length of time with supervision from the vet.
