Hi everyone!
My name is Rollie and I am so happy to meet you! I was rescued from a council pound. My owner left me there and got a new puppy. When my time was up, OTC came for me- and I am so glad they did! I got all my proper vet work done once coming into care, and gained some weight. Wherever I had been prior left me a bit thin and not well cared for, but it's nothing that will worry me long term thankfully. Despite not having been to a vet many times before, when OTC began to take me to all my check ups etc, I was a really good girl and patiently let them do what they needed to do. My cute stumpy tail never stops waggin!
Despite not always having the best life, I never stop smiling. I am a really calm, friendly girl who just wants to hang out. Where I am staying now, in my foster home, I have another dog friend for company, and my foster dad works from home. So I am used to having someone around a lot. However if he needs to leave for the day, I am fine to hang out at home, and can be trusted inside alone. I sleep inside at night, and my foster sister and I both share a 'dog couch'. I would adjust to a home where the humans work full time, as long as you have another dog friend there for company and can take me out on walks or park trips a few times a week.
I only bark when there is someone near my gate, and my favourite games are wrestling with other dogs, or getting treats out of my Kong treat dispenser. I also enjoy splashing about in my clamshell pool in summer. I don't really like to swim, more so stand there with my little feet in it to cool them off. I know my basics like come, sit, drop, no. I travel well in the car, and just sit there happily watching out the window. My perfect forever home has a 6ft fence or one of the Petsafe wireless fencing systems or similar. I also need another dog friend for company. I can sleep inside or outside at night, but would prefer to come inside and be a part of the family. I haven't yet met cats, so would prefer not to live with any unless you are experienced and can keep the cats out of my area, and me out of theirs. I am great with human children! At my adult size, I am 32kg.
So what do you think... am I the one for you? If so, please fill out an application asap. This pretty face won't stay available for long!
Medical notes
I have been heartworm tested (I was negative, yay!), treated for fleas/ticks/intestinal & heartworms, desexed and microchipped. I eat a normal adult food, and am a happy, healthy, spunky girl

Once you are ready to adopt, please complete the OTC Adoption Application questionnaire below. This is not a contract or agreement of any kind, just an expression of interest in the animal. We will not authorise meets unless this has been completed and only approved applicants may meet the animal. Once you are approved and have submitted all relevant information, we will organise for you to meet the pet at your home, or in a public place. If you have other pets they must be at the meet. You may be required to travel to the pet; we infrequently have admins available to drive extensive distance and it also says a lot if someone is able yet unwilling to come to the animal they have applied for. If for example you cannot drive, feel free to talk with us about possibility of travel to you.
At the meet if you and the pet get along you have the option of either taking the pet on the spot (in exchange for signed contract and the full adoption fee paid upfront) or placing the pet on hold for up to 2 days with a $100 non-refundable holding deposit. This deposit is then taken off the original adoption fee should you proceed with the adoption. Should you place a hold, we will not proceed other applicants until you have removed your hold or adopted the animal.
*PLEASE NOTE we do not hold pets without a non-refundable holding deposit of $100. If you are unwilling to put a deposit on the pet, we will continue to advertise and speak with other potential adopters, so you may miss out. We have had to make the deposit is non refundable to avoid time-wasters. The $100 holding deposit is then subtracted from the outstanding adoption fee, which is to be paid at collection of the pet. Eg if full adoption fee is $450, and you place a $100 holding fee on the animal- the day you collect the pet you will sign an adoption contract and pay the remaining $350 fee of which $75 is non-refundable.
All animals are adopted out with vaccinations up to date; if for example you are adopting a young animal it may not have had a full protocol yet due to age- so any vaccinations due from date of adoption are the ethical and financial responsibility of the adopter. During the trial period, should the pet become ill, you must notify OTC, and present it to the OTC-approved vet clinic we direct you to in your area. OTC will cover any treatment needed at our authorised clinics.
So. Ready to roll? Then fill out the attached short form, and we will be in contact to successful applicants asap. Feel free to follow us up via Facebook page inbox. (www.facebook.com/offthechaink9)
