About Lizzie
At first blush, Her Majesty Miss Elizabeth ER may seem shy and retiring but do not let that fool you. This is one little lady full of surprises and who will leave a paw shaped mark on your heart forever.
Left behind to her fate when her previous “family” moved away, Lizzie was rightly terrified and untrusting of humans. Under the patient guidance of her foster family which includes two boisterous fur foster brothers, Lizzie is revising her opinion of the two legged folk and is flourishing being a member of the pack. With exotic markings, she is no ordinary brindle staffy cross and one could be mistaken for thinking she had been magically transported from the plains of Africa as opposed to a rescue transport from a regional pound. The jewel in the crown that is Lizzie, however, has a delightful, loving nature and gentle spirit.
She has nothing but hugs and kisses for her foster family and day by day is getting closer to the cat and working on her feline relationship goals. She is respectful and sweet to those she knows and trusts and fiercely protective of her home and family. This may be wrongly misconstrued as barking but Lizzie only issues her royal demands when someone is too close to the fence line.
Lizzie enjoys the company of other dogs and has inserted herself seamlessly into her foster pack. Despite her regal stature she does not show any dominant or aggressive behaviour and is happy to follow along with her fur brothers, and roll onto her back for her tummy to be tickled.
She has also mastered the routine of the house with ease - she toilets when her brothers do and sleeps through the night. She is improving with her table manners and basic obedience but would thrive with someone who could spend some time training her so she can master the more queenly arts of walking on lead, recall and waiting.
She does not overly exert herself or engage in excitable behaviour so would suit a family preferably with a friendly fur-sibling, who enjoy cuddles on the sofa watching Netflix, lazy days in the sunshine and would help her find the courage to forget her previous life and move boldly and bravely into a new one.
