About Ren and Stimpy
Any special people out there want to give a couple of toothless cats a home!? Ren and Stimpy are funny and cute to look at and you don’t have to worry about expensive dentals...ever!
They’re approx 5yo old but have had such a horrible start to life that they have some permanent damage. But if you’re special enough to see past their little flaws you’ll have best buddies for life!!
Ren is a more independent kitty who is the brains of the duo and usually takes a little longer to trust new people. Stimpy always has his tongue hanging out and is a little dopey and carefree, just wanting to explore and make friends while taking advantage of all the luxuries of his indoor foster home (you’ll find him moving from comfy bed to comfy bed, testing all the soft new materials!) they’re quite bonded brothers so I’d prefer them to find a home together ❤️
They were rescued from a hoarder in NSW with 35 other cats, they were so desperate to find a rescue to take them on that they drove them all the way to Adelaide for me!
They had been suffering from the flu their whole lives which caused all their teeth to rot, so they all had to be removed! Theyre covered in scars but luckily are both negative for FIV 🙂
They had 2 strains of flu, feline herpesvirus and feline calicivirus. Unfortunately the herpesvirus can stay with them for life and cause “flare ups” when they’re stressed. This usually involves a weepy eye and some sneezing. It’s easily managed and settles after a week or so, but unfortunately this usually happens from the stress of adoption so kitties like these are usually overlooked or returned. They would go home with antiviral medication to ease the transition ❤️
Humans and other animals can’t catch the virus, it’s only cats who aren’t vaccinated, although sometimes vaccinations aren’t 100% effective.
They love other cats though and are also fine with dogs. They’re a little timid at first so would need time to get used to children and new people. But have the most satisfying purrs when you do gain their trust ❤️
They’re definitely a work in progress and in a few months will be happy, healthy normal kitties. Oh and you’ll save a fortune not having to do dentals on them for the rest of their life!
They’re desexed vaccinated microchipped wormed and flea treated and can happily eat dry food even though they have no teeth
Adoption fee $50 for the pair

**when enquiring please tell me about the home you have to offer them
