About Bobby
I'm Bobby, a qualified couch tester and certified good boy. Part of my job includes vigorous napping, snacking and snuggling! My foster fam say I'm a gentle giant, and a bit of a duffer too! I'm playful and affectionate and take my good boy role very seriously. This gentle giant has a heart of gold. My foster fam say I'm easy-going with a super sweet nature. Nothing really phases me, I go with the flow.
I'm happy for you to join me on the couch, we'll watch Netflix and you can scritch behind my ears. Like all good boys, I love company and being with my humans.
One of my secret ninja skills is that my tail has a mind of its own. Watch that wine glass, though, my tail is always wagging!
Whilst I do enjoy many naps and sun-baking, I also enjoy a good adventure. I get the beans a few times a day, and will do zoomies around the yard. I love to play and enjoy tossing soft toys about the lounge.
I enjoy pottering in the sun but also love being a couch potato and snoozing on the lounge. I will wake up for a walk though, of course. I would enjoy a twice daily walk, but I'm not too fussed. Being a large long dog, you'll need to walk me in a harness.
I'm not a fan of small dogs or cats, but would like a chilled greyhound companion. I would also be content to be the only household hound. I have been in foster care with Emmy.
Restock the toy basket, this good boy is on his way! Hit enquire!
Summary:
> If kids, 10+ years old
> Only household hound or with a female greyhound companion
> Not small dog or cat tolerant
Medical notes
Bobby is desexed, vaccinated, microchipped (transfer inclusive of adoption fee), flea and worm treated.
Bobby's racing injuries include previous back injuries and torn thigh muscles. No medication is required, however you will need to ensure soft bedding is always available, and understand that assistance getting into, or out of the car will be required for Bobby.
Adoption details
STEP 1 – ENQUIRE & EOI FORM:
Click 'Enquire about this pet' to contact us or email us at admin@greytgreys.org to express interest in the hound that you are looking at. We'll send you an EOI form, this must be returned before proceeding.
If the greyhound you have applied for is unavailable or unsuitable, we can match you with a more suitable greyhound. We may have a hound in foster care who might be well suited to your family.
STEP 2 – LET'S CHAT:
We'll phone you to discuss suitability, clarify any points of your application and chat process and next steps.
STEP 3 – HOUSE CHECK & MEET + GREET:
We'll come to you! The meet + greet is conducted at the same time that a house check is carried out. The meet + greet is the day that your newly adopted greyhound will be able to stay on with you.
Our adoption fee is $320.00 and must be paid on on the day of the meet + greet, and prior to starting your 2 week trial.
We have a 2 week trial, where support from our team is freely available. If you have any issues, we urge you to contact us to try and work through them, as all rescue greyhounds have some period of adjustment.
If, after the 2 week trial, you feel that you need to return the greyhound, we will refund your adoption fee (less a $50 administration fee), upon return of the dog and all paperwork and other items that the dog was adopted with.
All of our hounds are adopted out with the following:
> Collar, lead & coat
> Certificate of sterilisation & vaccination
> Flea & worm treated
> Care information for your newly adopted greyhound
> Access to our private Facebook page for foster carers, volunteers and adopters of our hounds. A community with invaluable advice and support.
