About 💬 Tom 💬
"Pssst! Yeh you! Come brush my hair while I tell you a story!"
Sadly, Tom has a sad tale to tell, but we are very much hoping to add a happy ending to his story.
Tom and his dad had been best mates for years. They had a wonderful relationship full of care and love, but due to socioeconomic factors, Tom’s dad is no longer able to offer him the life that he knows he deserves. While one of our wonderful carers has been looking after Tom for some time now, in the hopes he may be able to be reunited with his dad, unfortunately it’s become apparent this won’t be possible in the foreseeable future. Rather than leave Tom in limbo, his dad has asked us to find Tom a new forever home, where he can have the stability he needs in his retirement years.
So lets talk about Tom! This amazing guy is CHATTY! He’s got a lot to say and is looking for someone to listen! If Tom was a person, he’d be the old guy who sits on his porch all day, talking the ear off anyone who will listen! Tom has the most amazing, deep droll meow and will literally converse with you! Tom loves people and would be ok with a small calm dog, who minded their own business and although he finds other cats a bit confusing (why can’t they just talk to him like people do?!) he is willing to share with a cat/s that mind their own business, but he would also be suited to being an only cat. He is looking for a home where he is able to spend a bit of time in a secure outdoor area, sunning himself and pottering around. Mostly, Tom is just looking for someone who is happy to have another voice in the house and who will be his new “best mate”!
Tom is 100% litter trained, loves being groomed, is good with well-mannered kids. He doesn’t even mind if you work long hours, he’ll just chat to himself until you get home! 😉
Tom would also make the most wonderful retirement companion for an elderly single or couple, who would appreciate the company of an affectionate, chatty, but not physically needy (Tom loves to snooze next to his foster mum on the couch, but doesn’t need to be all over her!) cat who is super low maintenance and a great conversationalist!
Tom is in care in Frankston
Medical notes
Tom is in good health for his age. He goes to his new home desexed, microchipped, flea and worm treated and current in vaccinations.
