About Garfield
All About Me and My Unique Personality:
I am a little wary with strangers but soon warm up. I am a mature gent so not particularly playful. I prefer to hang out in an outdoor cat enclosure watching the world go by safely out of my reach.
Garfield comes desexed, microchipped, vaccinated, up to date with flea and worming treatments and is lifetime registered.
My Ideal Home:
Garfield has had a fairly unstable life so far and ideally would like to be in a home where he is not subject to too much change and activity. I don't think he would make a great companion for a busy household with children as he would likely keep to himself. Single mature person or couple would be ideal for him
What is Known About My Background:
Garfield was left behind when his family moved and was taken in by a good neighbour who already had three adored cats of her own. She tried her best to look after him but given some health issues was finding it hard to look after all four. He has been allowed outdoors in a cat enclosure which he loves. He did escape earlier this year and found himself at the RSCPA but was lucky to be reunited after a brief stay. Sadly she has surrendered him to HAR in the hopes of finding Garfield his very own family who will adore him and keep him safe and secure.
How Do I Interact with Kids, Dogs, Cats and Other Pets:
Initially timid with people after a couple of days he comes out of his shell. As an older fellow he won't want to face too much more stressful upheaval so is looking for a permanent forever home. He has lived with other cats so that should be fine with a slow introduction. A dog who ignores him should also be fine.
