About Max 🐾
Introducing Max, our adorable little Kelpie mix boy.....Everyone needs a Max in their lives! He is loyal to his humans and loves to be right by your side.
Max is 1 of 3 pups who arrived in care at the age of 6 weeks. He was a shy little boy on arrival, but has really come out of his shell with the exposure of adults, children and other animals, including chickens, ducks and sheep at Follyfoot Farm Preschool. Here he spends his days alongside his foster mum and lots of children who enjoy helping to care for Max and his siblings.
He enjoys running and playing with the children and daily walks to the farmyard where he comes nose to nose with chickens, ducks and sheep. After his hard day at Preschool, he comes home to socialise with 3 older dogs. Max is a very happy and loyal puppy who just loves spending time with his humans and curling up on your lap for a cuddle.
Max has been a very good boy with toilet training and is confident using puppy pads at night time.
As with all our pups, we strongly recommend enrolling in Puppy school. Max will need continued socialisation with other dogs during the puppy stage and into adulthood, as well as ongoing training so that he grows up to be a well mannered and socialised boy. We believe that he will be a medium size dog when fully grown. He is a beautiful natured puppy, and given the right environment we’re sure he will grow to be an extremely loyal, well mannered adult.
We would love to help get you started with training, so our amazing supporters, Best Friends - Erina, have kindly offered to include a 5 week Puppy training course with all of our Puppy adoptions (up to 16wks of age)....The Best Friends Puppy Pre-School service is a fun and interactive five-week training course that covers puppy behaviours, diet, health, grooming, exercise and play, with an emphasis on socialisation, command training, health and care. Their aim is to teach you positive ways to train your puppy in basic skills such as ‘sit’, ‘drop’, ‘stay’, and how to walk well on a lead, but also how to control your puppy’s not so desirable behaviours like toileting inside, biting, mouthing and separation anxiety.
Max would be best suited to a home with another doggie companion or the company of his humans. He will need a medium to large yard or property, with secure height appropriate fencing. He may quite possibly be a mix of working dog breeds and will not be suitable in an apartment or home with a small courtyard, so please consider this before applying to adopt.
His vet work will be complete on Wednesday 18th September, so will be ready to head off to his forever home on Friday 20th September. He is located in Budgewoi on the Central Coast NSW and available to meet now.

Adoption details
If you would like to express interest in adopting, we ask that you send through some info about yourself, your family and home, if you rent or own (rental agreement required if renting and rates notice required if you own) and what you can offer this gorgeous baby. Our aim is to find the best homes for our babies, not necessarily first in best dressed, so a good detailed application will make you stand out from the rest.
Once we have received your email outlining the above, those who we feel may be suitable, will be sent an Adoption Questionnaire to complete. Your enquiry will then be passed onto the appropriate carer and successful applicants will be contacted via phone.
