About Lucy ~ Staffy puppy (on trial 27/9/19)
Lucy is a 12 week old Staffy x puppy. She is a happy little girl who loves cuddles and playing with her foster siblings. She is a bit timid around new people and situations but once she warms up, she is an affectionate girl who loves to cuddle!
Lucy currently lives with two bigger dogs who she likes to follow around and play with, so she needs another dog friend to keep her company, as she would be too lonely by herself.
Lucy is a very smart, so training her should be easy! She can “sit” and comes when her name is being called. She has started toilet training. She needs to be welcome inside when people are home, and to sleep inside at least until fully grown.
Lucy will grow up to be a medium sized dog and will need a secure yard with no small gaps. We always recommend puppy-training classes to give your new family member the best start in life. All dogs and puppies need plenty of affection, exercise, and training.
Lucy is looking for a home where she is treated as part of the family and, being very young still, a home with someone home most of the time would be ideal.
To apply to meet Lucy, please fill out our Adoption Questionnaire https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt. If you have any questions you can contact Lucy's foster carer by sending an email to charlotte.backhausen@web.de. Lucy is in foster care in Thornton, NSW (Newcastle).
Lucy's adoption fee is $550 and includes her desexing, vaccinations, microchip and she's been treated for fleas and worms.
As Lucy is not yet desexed, she is only available for adoption to Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens because she'll need to be returned to one of our vets for desexing when he's 5 to 6 months old.
Lucy's sister Zoey is also available https://www.petrescue.com.au/listings/744658

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to fill in our online Adoption Questionnaire:
https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt
If there is a phone number listed in the dog's profile then you can also phone for more information.
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption. More details of our Adoption Procedure on our website: https://tinyurl.com/adoptproc
